When Whales Went Back to the Water launch
A backyard poetry reading at 33 Memorial Cres, Guelph ON

There will be a reading as well as time to hang out. I’ll share poems from the new book, as well as some even-newer work. We’ll have tents, so come even if the weather looks iffy. There will be limited seating, so BYO blanket or chair.

You can park on either side of the street. The #10 Paisley bus runs on Paisley Rd, a 2 min walk away. Bikes can be brought into the backyard.

To reach the backyard, you can enter via either side of the house. The ground is somewhat uneven but not unusually so, for a front/back yard. An indoor washroom is available, and there are three steps to get inside via the back deck. A shy cat lives at this house and will most likely be hiding or sleeping somewhere.

There will be non-alcoholic drinks and snacks. There will also be books for sale (I’ll have my Square reader). I’m proud of these poems and very happy with the work of the designers at UAlberta Press.

Persephone’s Crickets chapbook launch
A backyard poetry reading at 3 Franchetto Blvd, Guelph ON

Details:

There will be a reading as well as time to hang out. We’ll have tents, so come even if the weather looks iffy. There will be limited seating, so BYO blanket or chair. You can park on the street.

To get into the backyard, you can descend five fairly steep stairs, or you can use the ramp. The ramp is not AODA compliant in terms of rise, but it holds at least 400 lb and is regularly used by a manual wheelchair user with the help of an able-bodied person. An indoor washroom is available, and there are 4 steps (with an unreliable railing) to get inside.

There will be non-alcoholic drinks and snacks. There will also be books for sale.
