Lisa Baird laughs against a brick wall.

Poetry

Lisa Baird has performed her work nationally and internationally, and completed performance poetry residencies at Contact Theatre (Manchester UK) and Birmingham Rep Theatre (Birmingham UK) and Battersea Arts Centre (London UK). Sometimes she collaborates with performance poet David James Hudson. She has performed at poetry slams, basement shows, festivals, demos, kitchens, conferences, and classrooms.

Her first book of poetry, Winter’s Cold Girls, is now available from Caitlin Press or from your local bookstore.

Other writing

Lisa also writes nonfiction, mostly on themes of accessible healthcare, community acupuncture and trauma-informed care. She was a contributor to the Lambda-award winning anthology The Remedy: Queer and Trans Voices on Health and Healthcare (Arsenal Pulp Press, 2016).

Writing with others

Lisa offers writing workshops (heavily influenced by the incomparable Pat Schneider) suitable for youth, adults, timid beginners and confident writers.
