Lisa Baird has performed her work nationally and internationally, and completed performance poetry residencies at Contact Theatre (Manchester UK) and Birmingham Rep Theatre (Birmingham UK) and Battersea Arts Centre (London UK). Sometimes she collaborates with performance poet David James Hudson. She has performed at poetry slams, basement shows, festivals, demos, kitchens, conferences, and classrooms.
Her poetry appears in Arc Poetry Magazine, Rattle, Plenitude, and elsewhere.
Lisa also writes nonfiction, mostly on themes of accessible healthcare, community acupuncture and trauma-informed care. She was a contributor to the Lambda-award winning anthology The Remedy: Queers and Trans Voices on Health and Healthcare (Arsenal Pulp Press, 2016).
Writing with others
Lisa offers writing workshops (heavily influenced by the incomparable Pat Schneider) suitable for youth, adults, timid beginners and confident writers.
